
Rebuilding Together Houston
Completed a comprehensive home repair project that significantly improved the safety, stability, and livability of a family home. Everything from structural stabilization to electrical safety improvements was made. Outside cosmetic improvements were made with the help of over 30 LWI volunteers.

Justice Forward
With the help of LWI, Justice Forward supported 45 juvenile clients in Harris County. This group included 32 participants in the Harris County GRIP Juvenile Treatment Court, which focuses on eliminating delinquent conduct by reducing gang involvement, increasing pro-social factors, redirecting youth toward healthier alternatives, and strengthening family relationships. Client services provided to GRIP Court participants successfully relocated eight families to safer housing, and an additional four families received critical housing assistance, helping to create stability and interrupt generational cycles associated with unsafe living environments.

Segundo Barrio Children’s Chorus
In 2025, with the help of LWI, over 533 students were enrolled in tuition-free instruction. Along with instruction, students participated in transformative performance opportunities that reached approximately 70,000 Houstonians through performances at
community and citywide events.

Shoes for Kids
Served over 2180 elementary-aged children to provide shoes, socks, and winter jackets. Students served experienced improved comfort, dignity, and readiness for school. Families received essential support during a period of increased financial strain.

El Centro de Corazon
In 2025, El Centro served 8,407 female patients, representing nearly 70% of all patients served, and facilitated 16,012 visits within its Women’s Health Department. LWI funding played a critical role in expanding access to high-quality, preventive, and comprehensive care for women. Funding also supported the distribution of 800 backpacks and other
necessary school supplies.
